Holger Wulschner won the biggest class at the CSI3* event in Frankfurt on Saturday, riding Fine Lady 5 (Forsyth x Drosselklang II). It was a winning round class, and after the first round six of the thirteen riders moving on to round two were clear – while four were on one time penalty and the remaining three on four faults. Wulschner was one of the latter, but nevertheless he stole the top prize of 6250 Euro after a blistering fast second round that nobody could match crossing the finish line on 33.20 seconds after jumping clear around the shortened track.
Even not the speed phenomenon Gert Jan Bruggink could catch up with the German rider, and had to settle for second on Primeval Dejavu (Heartbreaker x Ramiro) – over a second behind the winner at 34.79 seconds after having one time penalty in the first round. The best lady rider in the class – who also received a special price in that regard – was Katharina Offel on B Once Z (Baloubet du Rouet x Lavalleto). The pair was double clear and had a time of 34.80 seconds as last to go in this very fast second round.
