Youngster Tour Finals at the Sunshine Tour

The Youngster Tour Finals at the Sunshine Tour in Spain came to a conclusion on Wednesday, with Julio Arias on Gladys, Mathieu Laveau on Tenessee de la Roque and Andre Jufer on Ulpi N de Brekka winning. The 7 year olds' final went to Spanish rider Julio Arias riding the Wandor vd Mispelaere -daughter Gladys, who has been performing consistently through the tour. A double clear and a time of 42.15 gave the home rider the win, while Norwegian rider Cecilie Hatteland was second on Gulio Van de Koelaar (Nonstop x Major de la Cour) with a time of 43.00 seconds. Third was Swiss rider Romain Sottas riding Quitano H (Quidam's Rubin x Grannus).

 

The 6 year old final saw Mathieu Laveau on the Kannan-daughter Tenessee de la Roque winning. The French rider was double clear and had a time of 35.81 in the jump-off, with Britain's Deborah Jackson in second riding Bolero 111 (Chatman x Darco) to a time of 37.07 seconds. Carlo Pfyffer from Switzerland ended third aboard CSH Coco (Contendro I x Acord II), also a double clear couple.

Andre Jufer on Ulpi N de Brekka won the 5 year old final. The Swiss rider rode this gem of a French bred mare by Diamant de Semilly x Dollar du Murier, to victory with a double clear and the time of 32.29 seconds in the jump-off. Runner-up was Felipe Guinato from Brazil on Cheribalou (Baloubet du Rouet x Quidam de Revel) with a time of 33.72 seconds, while Patrick Mc Entee was third on April Mury Marais Z (Air Jordan Z x Quinar Z).
