Zanotelli took his second GP win in Oliva Nova

Sunday, 24 February 2013

Second time around for Marlon Zanotelli and Ode des Roches. Photo by Jenny Abrahamsson.Marlon Zanotelli and Ode des Roches (First de Launay x Tu viens Dorval) repeated their win in the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour from last weekend. 69 horse and riders came to start in the 1,45 m class and 14 of them went on to the jump-off. Another nine riders cleared the fences, but had time faults.

The first round consisted of thirteen fences and the horses had a long way to canter around the big grass arena. The triple combination as well as the last line with 12a and b followed by a vertical as number 13 caused problems. Seven fences stayed for the jump-off, two of them were totally new and the course finished with a long canter to the last fence.

Marlon ended the jump-off half a second faster than second placed Marie Pellegrin Etter riding Admirable A Jungle Prince x Rhytmo). Jörg Oppermann with Che Guevara Concept x Rebel Z) ended on third - as he did last Sunday as well - slightly faster than fnumber four Philipe Le Jeune and Once de Kreisker (by Papillon Rouge).
