Zinc Management Trophy to Scott Brash at HOYS

Saturday, 08 October 2011

Scott Brash and BonAmi have had a good season. Here on their way to victory in Gijon earlier this year. Photo by Oxer Sport.Click here for full results from The Zinc Management Trophy class.

The biggest class in Birmingham yesterday was a 1.60 class with 31 contestants to start. Out of these 31 riders, nine had a clear first round and were able to ride the second one. All nine riders were clear in the second round as well, but the fastest one was on home soil; Scott Brash and Bon Ami (by Pavarotti vd Helle) at 24.72.

The pair only secured the win by one hundred of a second as another British rider Sam Hutton crossed the finish line at 24.73 aboard his gelding Lancelot TN (Lupicor x Dammen).

Billy Twomey was third with Romanov(Heartbreaker x Fedor) at 25.46. Billy was followed by two Dutch riders, Harrie Smolders and Wout-Jan ven der Schans. Then followed the Mexican rider Jaime Guerra, William Funnel, Timothy Davies and Kevin Staut. The latter on his new ride , the ten year old chestnut mare Nagaye de Kergane (Grand Chef Bleus x Type d’Elle).
