Wearing the blue and white Longines world no. one armband on the left, Daniel Deusser reigned surpreme on the second day of the Longines Masters of Hong Kong. The world number one has been extremely consistent over the last few months, which is why it was no surprise to watch him win Saturday's first class – the AsiaWorld-Expo Trophy – so easily. Aboard the 10-year-old mare Happiness van't Paradijs (Obourg x Quick Lauro Z), the German rider stopped the clock on 37.22 seconds in this 1.45 class to take the win and more world ranking points.
It was Germany all the way on the podium: Christian Ahlmann finished second on Reavnir (Ricardos x Rombach) with a time of 37.78 seconds and Philipp Weishaupt on Call Me Eva third (Chacco-Blue x Stakkato) in 38.24 seconds.
