This first edition of the Riders Masters Cup takes place at the Longines Masters of Paris on Saturday evening, and the draw was conducted last night. In the presence of team leaders Philippe Guerdat and Robert Ridland, Pierre Durand, Olympic champion and Ambassador of this new competition, Christophe Ameeuw, CEO of EEM and Founder of the Longines Masters series Paris - Hong Kong - New York and Hanfried Haring, President of the EEF, the duels were named.
The duels that will write the history of the Riders Masters Cup are:
Devin Ryan will be opposed to Kevin Staut,
Chloe Reid to Maikel van der Vleuten,
Laura Kraut to Grégory Wathelet,
Reed Kessler to Jos Verlooy,
Finally, Lauren Hough and Lorenzo de Luca will play the final match.
The outcome will be known at the end of the second meeting, that of revenge that will take place in New York on April 28, 2018.
The Riders Masters Cup opposes two teams composed of five of the best American and European riders and horses, in a competition over two rounds set by the course builder from the last European Championships, Louis Konickx.
