Hi everybody,

Sitting in the bar of the hotel, in a quiet corner, on a comfortable chair, with my favourite drink and wondering what to write today.

Gothenburg Horse Show is something very special. What makes it most special is the people who organize it. From the Monday of show week, when I generally get a call from the stable manager to ask what horses I'm bringing and if I'm happy to stand where I almost always have my boxes, in stable 3, up by the ring. To arriving and having many of the same faces of excited girls who want to help me unload my truck and everyone saying ‘Welcome to Gothenburg did you have a good trip? What can we do?’ There is rarely a show that makes us feel special and tries so hard to make our horses happy. This you see then throughout the week, the staff in the office, the lady in the copying room who hands me the lists and asks if I have the timetable for the day. All the stewards who walk around all day for the welfare of the horses, keeps our sports rules and at the same time try to make everything fit into a workable day. The atmosphere when Marcus rides in the ring is electrifying, which I think is what helps always bring good results. I have had so many memorable shows here and Plot's shoe hangs on the wall of fame, it's really worth taking a moment to thank everyone for their input, Gothenburg would be just another hall without all the wonderful people behind the scenes and the audience.

Steffi and Vanessa up to support us!

Funky got a day off from jumping today, to prepare himself for his World Cup debut. I rode him between all the juniors this morning, to make him feel all grown up! He hand-walked lots and met Silvana from Kevin, who gave him a few tips!

Gaudi was all tacked up and ready for his Grand Prix, but sensibly Marcus decided it was very difficult and his debut should be another day. He still had a nice buck on the longe and was ridden and grazed on the little patch of grass outside. That's why we had time for a little drink in the hotel. I think the class must be over as it’s getting very full in here.

Calanda had a Sarah day, longing and walking, she slept a lot today, so hopefully she's ready for 3 in a row tomorrow.

Red Man jumped great today, probably because Steffi (from Isabel Werth) and Vanessa (from Edward Gal) came to support us, they were not so sure about his bucking in the corner, but I said he doesn't lose points for that, in our sport! We were all very happy with him, he was also happy to see his mum a lot today!

We love popcorn!

Right off to bed, so I'm fit to ride Funky in the ring tomorrow morning, lots of patting and making him feel like a World Cup horse.

Kay
