Calanda brought us all this!

Hi,

As always the day can only begin by waking up! As the alarm demanded for the 3rd time I need to drag myself out of bed, I made weird grunting and groaning sounds as words were not ready to form! Sarah understood that a loud groan was morning as I headed to the bathroom, to cold water and a hair brush.

After eating a lovely breakfast we were feeling much more human and on our way to feed the ponies.

Calanda and Gaudi started their day longing and Funky and I went riding. Funky is wonderful to ride, he has a canter you can sit on all day, so he made me smile and the day was off to a great start. I always enjoy the morning stables; mucking out, taking off bandages, checking everyone, seeing that all their blankets are full of straw or shavings, knowing that they have slept as well as me! I just always aim for the fact that they wake up feeling better than I do!

Gaudi started off our day really well with a super clear round and 5th place. He even went straight to the wash box and stood like an angel for his shower, this is not always so easy for him as he's scared of a lot of things!

Where is Celia?

Calanda went next and I love this mare, she again set the pace and made sure Marcus was ready to bring her around the course for another win! She also enjoyed galloping round in the prize giving and Marcus too as he waved to the crowd!!

Celia was also having a fun morning as she called me over to watch Casall sleeping and showing no interest what so ever in the fact that Rolf wanted to ride! Later when I was out hand walking Rolf was walking back to the stable leading his pony and carrying his ring bag, Celia where are you? All was well she was getting Clarimo ready and laughing at how self-sufficient her jockey is!

We then had time for a little lunch and a little sleep. It was no easier to get up at 15.30 than at 6.30am this morning.

My mate Funky was a rock star in the qualifier and jumped a good clear round, gotta love him!

Red man – or better know as Singular – was trying this evening, but as all 9 yr olds it takes time and patience to bring them to the top, however good they are, he had an off day today but that's fine it makes him human or horse and we can work with that. He should jump for another 9 yrs if he's still jumping like Plot when he's 18yrs so we have plenty of time and classes to show he's amazing ability.

Calanda the star - very tired - and Sarah.

Sarah has been amazing all day, just getting all the chores done so I can sit and write my blog and not have to do it as I'm falling asleep in bed, think I'll buy her a drink on the way back for that... Cheers!
