CSI5* Longines Masters of Hong Kong 2016

Sean guest blog Hong Kong

It's been an interesting few days here at the Asia World Expo, but needless to say a lot of laughs and a lot of clear rounds.

The horses have been great this weekend placing in nearly every class, even more so a happy Sean with a double clear and 6th place finish in the Longines Grand Prix. I can't be too mad about that really can I now...

It's crazy how much work with the setting up and packing up and unpacking the people do to put on a show for three days.... Like it’s packing up day here for the stands, and the amount of work they do to put on this show is crazy! I mean we pack and unpack every week, but that's different – we are in our second homes (wait that's a lie, I live in my truck more than my apartment).

Seeing as it was actually my first time here in Hong Kong I will not complain. It's another country ticked off my list and I mean they do have a few Starbucks here, that's always good to lighten the mood.

We had a small party on Saturday night. Needless to say I wasn't feel up to my usual self on Sunday (well after all we are in Hong Kong) but after a coffee or four and a 30 minutes nap I was well away back to normal Sean and ready to go!

What a weekend for Marco and Ansku! Great team and of course Van Gogh for jumping his little heart out! Congrats guys you deserve it!

I'm pretty sure if you could count how many times I have napped in my very famous bed/chair this week you would be shocked! I haven't been so much of a tourist this week! Bad Sean!

Room 3011 has been entertaining as usual and I have a funny feeling we will all be sending each other messages in the group chat to remind ourselves of the laughs we had this week.....

Ok, I must get going! Everyone is running around getting organized and I’m sat on the floor writing to you all!

Tonight we fly with the horses back to Liege (so excited to see my bed for a few days until Sunday when I leave again for DOHA! Time for sun!

Bye guys and thanks for reading for my blogs hope to entertain you all very soon!

Sean
