Success is guaranteed without a doubt

In contemporary horse breeding coincidence seems to play only a marginal role. Keeping that in mind, with the 2018 Elite Auction Borculo foal collection success is guaranteed without a doubt. An abundance of top sport genes is spread over several generations and apart from the excellent sires this is largely due to the superb dam lines signifying this collection, that can be found on www.foalauctionborculo.com

No.52 Narina I W (Thunder van de Zuuthoeve x Heartbreaker), out of a sister to Explosion W (Ben Maher). No.52 Narina I W (Thunder van de Zuuthoeve x Heartbreaker), out of a sister to Explosion W (Ben Maher).

A nice confirmation of the above is the remarkable amount of selected jumping foals that are related to current winners at the highest level. For example catalogue no. 52, a filly by Thunder van de Zuuthoeve whose dam is a sister to Explosion W. Under Ben Maher, this only nine-year old sensation is collecting the big prizes in the Global Champion Tour’s Grand Prix’s. Another example is Zinius, who has been successful under Harrie Smolders in other recent GTC classes. From his direct dam line we offer a striking foal (no. 33) by Dominator Z

No.51 Torc Falls DB Z (Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve x Kannan), granddam a full sister to Mylord Carthago

Wildcards

A foal by the proven progenitor Emerald, another one of Smolders’s cracks, was recently added to the collection. Bred out of one of the Balia stem’s very strong branches, it’s only natural for this Southgate Balia NL (no. 64) to have acquired a wildcard. Another wildcard goes to Northern Light (no. 65). This Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve offspring again has obvious links to current sport successes, combined with an exceptionally strong dam line. He’s a full brother to no less a horse than Darry Lou, the number six in the Aachen Grand Prix under Beezie Madden.

No.5 Baloulotte van de Eijkhof Z (Balou du Rouet x Elanville), sister to Chic Hin D Hyrencourt, winner of the CSI Twente Grand Prix. No.5 Baloulotte van de Eijkhof Z (Balou du Rouet x Elanville), sister to Chic Hin D Hyrencourt, winner of the CSI Twente Grand Prix.

Direct dam lines of Beezie Madden’s top horses are highly represented altogether. The collection offers offspring by Comme Il Faut (no. 20) out of World Cup winner Q.Breitling LS’s line, as well as a sister (by Balou du Rouet, no. 15) to Chic Hin D Hyrencourt, the CSI Twente Grand Prix winner. As a daughter of Verdi TN out of a sister to Martin Fuchs’s crack Chaplin (by Verdi TN), no. 60 is also closely related to one of the contemporary showjumping top horses. Himself still an international top-level showjumper, Verdi is also represented in no. 61 and 62 from equally interesting dam lines. This collection offers a lot more offspring by currently successful stallions, such as foals by Quabri de l’Isle (no. 48 and 49), Hector van d’Abdijhoeve (no. 42), Comme Il Faut (no. 17-20), Cornado I (no. 21) and Vagabond de la Pomme (no. 56 and 57).

No.58 Vhouchacho Z (Van Gogh x Quincerot van T&L), out of a sister to Toulon and Vancouver d’Auvray.

Direct Cumano son

Apart from current sport stallions, including younger talent, proven progenitors leave their mark on this collection, with stallions like Berlin (no. 8), Casall Ask (no. 11 and 12), Cicero van Paemel Z (no. 15 and 16), Cornet Obolensky (no. 22-25), Diamant de Semilly (no. 29-32) and Harley VDL (no. 39-41), and last but certainly not least the direct Cumano son (no. 26). He was bred out of the mare Tuut Tuut de la Vie, one of the many famous (brood)mares in the direct dam lines. Qerly Chin de Muze (the line of, among others, Exquis Walnut de Muze and Vagabond de la Pomme, no. 40), Usha van ’t Roosakker (among others Cella and Erco van ’t Roosakker, no. 19), Larthago (among others Harley VDL and Cantona TN, no. 56), Elottie W (among others Vindicat W and Woklahoma, no. 43 and 61), Fragance de Chalus (among others Mylord Carthago and Bamako de Muze, no. 51) and Nikita (among others Toulon and Vancouver d’Auvray, no. 58), are only but a few other examples.

About the Elite Foal Auction Borculo

Since 1979, ‘Borculo’ has been a household name within the equestrian world and this is partly due to the fact that the organization has always been progressive and innovative. Foal Auction Borculo is therefore the first on many fronts. Not only the first foal auction of the Netherlands or the first based on the highest average auction price, but also traditionally the first auction of the regular foal auction season. The same goes for this year when on August 29th (jumping foals) and 30th (dressage foals) edition 2018 of the Elite Foal Auction Borculo takes place in Vragender.
