Catalogue no. 11 Girl on Fire *2009 (Van Gogh x A Hold Up Premier) Catalogue no. 11 - Girl on Fire *2009 (Van Gogh x A Hold Up Premier)

This little mare's red hot!

Girl On Fire is a modern thoroughbred type with an athletic build and harmonious conformation. She’s a supple, rhythmic and dynamic mover, always balanced, with a very elastic jumping technique and basic paces. Girl On Fire has a perfect bascule, a careful big jump and great presence. She’s also a very easy ride with a fantastic attitude and temperament.

Girl On Fire’s impressive pedigree gives some indication of where she got her qualities from.
Her sire Van Gogh won the KWPN stallion licensing by a big margin and soon became a public favourite. He’s ridden internationally by Marco Kutscher and this season’s achievements include wins in the GCT Grand Prix of Valkenswaard, the CSI5* LA Masters 2015, and the CSI5* Hong Kong Masters 2016. Van Gogh is also on the German championship squad. His first crop of foals are already competing internationally. They include Bella Brown (Niels Knape), Valejo (Katrin Eckermann), Decorette (Ole Kristoffer Meland) in show jumping and the dressage horse Cosmo – team gold medal winner at the Olympic Games in Rio with Sönke Rothenberger. Van Gogh has a very interesting pedigree with Holstein blood from Numero Uno – Ramiro – Burggraaf and Amor.

The dam’s sire A Hold Up Premier is the product of international stallions Narcos II and Quidam De Revel, and was initially competed by Wout Jan van der Schans before becoming a brood mare and producing headliner offspring such as Vivaldi (Anna Dmitrieva), Vrieda Imperio Egipcio (Ibrahim Hani Bisharat), VDL Valdez Assolute (Luiz Felipe Pimenta Alvez), and Zippo (Juan Pablo Pivaral Aycinena).

Ahorn Z, descendent of international show jumpers Almé Z and Heureka, and an established producer of excellent jumping horses, also contributes valuable genes.

Girl On Fire has been placed in national classes up to 1.40m and also has international competition experience. This seven year old mare is an excellent prospect for top level show jumping.

“This girl is on fire...You can try but yo’'ll never forget her name.”
