The Hannoveraner Verband will again open the gates at the race track area in the Riders Town of Verden from August 1 to 6, 2017, for a special tournament you will hardly find elsewhere. The tournament announcements include jumper riding horse classes up to CSI**-tests. All age groups will be represented. The elder horses compete in the CSI**-tests, the seven- and eight-year olds in the international Youngster Tour, the four- to six-year-olds in the Hanoverian Show Jumping Championships. Even three-year-old jumpers will be shown in free jumping under the open sky at the Herwart von der Decken-Show.
"No other show venue provides the whole range of show jumping competitions. Many excellent young horses already celebrated their first successes in the Verden Riders Stadium. Markus’ Hanoverian mare Charmed a former Verden Auction horse, meanwhile successful in international competitions, gained first international show experiences in Verden, and we already discovered many promising futurity prospects here.
For us riders, it is always worth travelling to Verden because of the fabulous setting and the perfect conditions. I love it, not only because it is not far from us, but also because we feel completely comfortable. This is what many of my colleagues think as well. Since last year, it is possible to ride on sand. This has improved it even further.
I won the Verden Grand Prix the last time in 2010 with my mare Kismet. Maybe I will succeed again this year.”
