Olympic Champions Nick Skelton and Big Star will sadly miss out on their appearances at CHI Geneva this week, and Olympia Horse Show in London the week after as the stallion has suffered a minor injury.

It is a sprained fetlock that keeps Big Star out of competition, and as Skelton wants to avoid taking any risk he has given his famous partner a rest for the next six weeks.

The reigning Olympic champion still dreams of the Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping though: “That's still my ultimate goal with Big Star. I'm hoping to start my winning run next July at Aachen (where Big Star won the Rolex Grand Prix in 2013) and to sew it up in December 2017 at Geneva,” Skelton says in a press release from CHI Geneva.
