At the age of 28, Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum’s former success mare Stella (Quick Star x Wilson) has passed away.

Stella, that has been with Michaels-Beerbaum since she was four years old, helped Meredith to become the first woman ever on a German team. In 1999, the pair was a part of the German team for the European Championships at Hickstead were they delivered a double clear and helped Germany win the gold medal.

"I will never forget Stella or ever stop appreciating what she did for me. She was the spark in my career and will be greatly missed," writes Michaels-Beerbaum on her official Facebook page.

Our thoughts go out to the whole Michaels-Beerbaum-team.
