Ian Millar’s longtime partner Star Power has passed away. On Team Millar’s official Facebook account, a statement reads: "It is with the deepest sadness that we report to you that Star Power passed away yesterday. It is unjust that what should have been a long and well deserved retirement was cut so short. Star Power represented Canada, all of us at Millar Brooke and Team Works in such an impressive and successful manner for so long that he will not be forgotten. RIP Star, you will be missed.”

With Ian Millar in the saddle, the 15-year-old gelding by Quick Star x Calvados competed at the 2012 Olympic Games in London as well as at the 2011 Pan Am Games. The pair also had several international wins together.
