Reed Kessler has decided to retire her long-time partner Ligist at the age of 17.

Ligist, a Swedish warmblood gelding by Levantos II x Robin Z, has jumped to wins and podium finishes in Geneva, Dublin, Hickstead, Paris and Calgary with Kessler – just to mention some.

“After so many amazing years together, I am happy to be able to give Goose the retirement he deserves. When I got him as a junior rider, I never thought we would end up jumping what we did. On top of his qualities in the ring, Goose is the happiest, goofiest and most loveable guy – I am so grateful for everything he has done for me. I also would like to thank everybody along the way who helped us on our journey,” states the American rider on her website.

Ligist will now enjoy the big green fields at Kessler Show Stables' European base in Guttecoven, Netherlands.
