Young Riders Academy presents 2016 rider and trainer-combinations

The first 2016 Young Riders Academy session ended last week in Lugano. 

During the week, sport manager Sven Holmberg, assigned a professional trainer to each of the six riders that are going to attend the full program this year. The rider and trainer-combinations will be as follows:

Cassandra Braeckmans (BEL ) will train with Henk Nooren

Jack Dodd (IRL ) will train with Marcus Ehning

Pål Flam (NOR) will train with Gerco, Ben and Wim Schröder

Eoin McMahon (IRL ) will train with Marco Kutscher

Emma O´Dwyer (GBR ) will train with Markus Beerbaum

Laura Klaphake (GER ) will train with Franke Sloothaak

Educational Program Team members Derin Demirsoy (TUR), Laetitia Du Couëdic (SUI), Michael Duffy (IRL ), Giampiero Garofalo (ITA), Spencer Roe (GBR), Basile Rubio (FRA) will in addition to the theoretical seminars participate in sport clinics with Jos Lansink, Rolf-Göran Bengtsson and Scott Brash.

*** The young Riders Academy is a program conceived for European talented young show jumpers, under the patronage of the European Equestrian Federation (EEF), with the cooperation of the International Jumping Riders Club (IJRC) and the support of Rolex.

Founded in 2014 by Athenaeum, a non-profit association, the program will give talented riders between the ages of 18 and 23 the chance to get six months of training and boarding at a well-known professional stable. On top of that, professional education in communication, business and economics, veterinary and legal practice related to show jumping. The objective is to develop future champions as well as potential managers of this sport.
