mcLain-profilMcLain Ward. Photo by Jenny Abrahamsson. It was all about the Americans in Dublin on Saturday as McLain Ward won the accumulator class and Kent Farrington the two phase 1.50 class. McLain’s win came aboard Super Trooper de Ness (by Vigo d’Arsouilles), after they picked up a full score of 65 points at a time of 46.49 seconds. Runner-up was Daniel Bluman on Cantando Lyngriis (by Cassini) also he with a full score and a time of 46.66 seconds. Third was Roger Yves Bost on Castle Forbes Vivaldo van het Costerveld (by Clinton) at 46.83 seconds, and 65 points.

After an extremely fast jump-off, it was Kent Farrington and Blue Angel (by Luidam) that ended on top of the 1.50 class. Farrington raced around the shortened track, got an extremely good turn to the combination towards the end before he took out one stride and made the last line on four strides – flying over the final oxer to cross the finish line on 37.47 seconds. Shane Breen was thus pushed down to second after producing a great round on the lovely Balloon (Balou du Rouet) with a time of 40.11 seconds. Third was Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum who had two great rounds on the big jumping Malou (by Maloubet de Pleville), finishing the jump-off at 40.60 seconds.
