At the age of 18, Shane Breen and Reed Kessler’s former Grand Prix horse Cos I Can (Olympic Lux x Harlequin du Carel – bred by John Griffin) has passed away. Cos I Can did his last international start in 2017, after a successful career with both Breen and Kessler. During his career, the Irish-bred gelding recorded victories in Arnhem, Dinard, Gross Viegeln, Hickstead, Oliva and Valkenswaard, as well as podium finishes at big venues such as Aachen, Doha, Geneva, Lyon, Spruce Meadows and Sopot – to mention some.

In 2018, Cos I Can was retired from the sport and returned home to Ireland.
