Ireland's Richard Howley has today announced the sale of his top horse Arlo de Blondel (Tlaloc M x Kassidi). Howley’s company HK Horses – that the Irish rider runs together with Morgan Kent – made the following statement on their official Instagram account about the sale: "A sad but great Christmas as we celebrate all the success of 2021 and wave good bye to one of our top horses Arlo de Blondel. He’s been a big part of our stable for the last two years, with some incredible results. We wish the new partnership every success and we look forward to seeing them competing soon."

To World of Showjumping, Howley has confirmed the sale of the 11-year-old gelding – that now will be in German ownership.

With Howley in the saddle, Arlo de Blondel has competed all the way up to CSI5* level and the pair has recorded multiple Grand Prix victories together. Before Howley took over the reins, Arlo de Blondel was successfully competed by Jack Whitaker (GBR), Michael Whitaker (GBR) as well as Joseph Clayton (GBR).
