USA's Natalie Dean has acquired the 10-year-old gelding Con Calma (Cascadello x Cancara) from Steve Guerdat and Twin Flame Horses. With Guerdat in the saddle, Con Calma has been placed at five-star 1.55m level. Prior to Guerdat taking over the reins at the end of 2022, Germany's Lea-Sophia Gut competed Con Calma up to 1.45m level.

“I am very excited to be taking over the reins on Con Calma,” Natalie Dean told World of Showjumping. “Steve has done an amazing job developing him up to 1.55m level over the last couple of months and I hope I can continue to develop him into a top Grand Prix horse.”

“Steve has been producing Con Calma since the end of last year, and our goal was to soon jump the first five-star Grand Prix classes and some Nations Cups at the end of the season,” Martin Fuchs from Twin Flame Horses told World of Showjumping. “However, Ilan Ferder –  who we work very closely with – was looking for a five-star Grand Prix horse with championship potential for Natalie Dean and he liked Con Calma very much. They had a good feeling when they tried Con Calma and Natalie got along with him well very quickly. We hope that he will be Natalie’s next superstar.”
