Emanuele Gaudiano and Nikolaj de Music win Saturday's CSI4* 1.50m Premio Axim SA Project Managment | Lugano in Ascona

Italy's Emanuele Gaudiano and the 10-year-old Nikolaj de Music (Kannan x Nabab de Reve, bred by Walter Lelie, owned by Gaudiano Sporthorses S.R.L.) won Saturday's CSI4* 1.50m Premio Axim SA Project Managment | Lugano – counting for the Longines Ranking Group C – at the 2023-edition of Longines CSI Ascona in Switzerland. 

With a time of 37.13 in the second round, Gaudiano and Nikolaj de Music took the win ahead of current world number one Henrik von Eckermann (SWE) and Dzara Dorchival (Qlassic Bois Margot x Raphael, bred and owned by Sebastien Fonck) in second in 37.27. Harry Charles (GBR) and Sherlock (Bisquet Balou vd Mispelaere x Malito de Reve) placed third, while Niklaus Schurtenberger (SUI) and Lireu (Legolas x Landgraf I) finished fourth, followed by Mathijs van Asten (NED) and Sirocco (Balou du Rouet x Guidam) in fifth. 

The second CSI4* class of the day, the 1.45m Premio Società Naviogazione Lago di Lugano – counting for the Longines Ranking Group D – went to Jessica Springsteen (USA) and Naomi van het Keizershof (Cardento x For Pleasure, bred by Leon Otten and owned by Stone Hill Farm) ahead of Pia Reich (GER) and PB Djazz d'Arvor ( Quarz de Talma x Le Tot de Semilly) in second, followed by Edward Levy (FRA) aboard Junior du Seigneur (Eternity du Seigneur x Calvaro) in third.
