Worldofshowjumping.com started as a sketch on a piece of paper in the summer of 2010, and was created out of three girls’ passion for the sport. We felt that an-all-showjumping website to cover the top level of the sport was needed, and that’s where the idea got its start. Today worldofshowjumping.com is one of the most popular websites in the equestrian world, with a broad range of readers – from top level riders to amateurs and hobby riders.
Our philosophy is simple. We want to provide easy access to the inside of the sport through our unique show reports, as well as exclusive interviews and photo reportages. Our aim is to bring the world of showjumping closer to its audience.
Behind the website and the company are three Scandinavians; Jenny Abrahamsson, Jannicke Naustdal and Hanne Christensen. We have by now all been a part of covering some of the biggest events in the sport; the European Championships at Windsor in 2009, the World Equestrian Games in Kentucky in 2010, the European Championships in Madrid in 2011, the Olympic Games in London in 2012, the European Championships in Herning in 2013, the World Equestrian Games in Caen in 2014, the European Championships in Aachen in 2015 as well as the Olympic Games in Rio in 2016 – in addition to the World Cup Finals in Leipzig (2011), Den Bosch (2012), Gothenburg (2013 and 2016) as well as Lyon (2014). And then there are of course all the Nations Cups, World Cup qualifiers and other wonderful events that we have been lucky enough to cover.
For 2017 we have expanded our team, with contributing writers Peter van der Waaij and Nanna Nieminen as well as contributing photographer Tiffany Van Halle joining us on special occasions.
Through our work with worldofshowjumping.com, we have built up an extensive and unique knowledge of the sport. We now use our insight to offer riders, show organizers and equestrian brands a wide range of services such as:
