The winning combination of Julien Epaillard (FRA) and Cristallo A LM (Casall x Corofino I) continued their top form in Dortmund on Saturday, going off with the victory in the CSI4* Signal Iduna Championat.
The 1.50m competition had 55 riders in it, and 14 of them went clear over the first round track to move on to the jump-off. Against the clock, the French rider was in a league of his own producing a time that was almost a second faster than that off runner-up Robert Vos (NED) on Don Gretzky (Corlensky G x Donnerhall).
Another four riders managed to go clear again in the jump-off, with Guido Klatte Jr. (GER) placing third on Qinghai (Quidam de Revel x Cordalme), Kendra Claricia Brinkop (GER) finishing fourth on A la Carte NRW (Abke x Lux) while fifth went to Christian Kukuk (GER) and sixth to Joachim Heyer (GER).
