CSIO5* Spruce Meadows 'Masters' 2017

The twelve best horse and riders from the first round of the CP 'International' Grand Prix presented by Rolex at Spruce Meadows qualified for the second round; and here they are. First out, a very happy Luciana Diniz that took the second place with Fit For Fun 13. All photos (c) Jenny Abrahamsson.

McLain Ward and the beautiful HH Azur ended 3rd.

Cian O'Connor was one of the four faulters from the first round that qualified for the second. But in the second round O'Connor decided to retire after some poles down with Good Luck.

Eric Lamaze and Fine Lady 5 also had four faults in the first round, but only added one time penalty in the second round to end 5th.

Fourth place went to Emilio Bicocchi with Sassicaia Ares.

Julien Gonin got two time faults in the first round riding Soleil de Cornu CH. In the second round they had to add a couple of faults, ending 11th.

Lauren Hough and the tiny mare Ohlala were clear in the first round and got eight faults in the second to end 8th overall.

Marco Kutscher and Clenur ended 7th with a total of six faults.

Maikel van der Vleuten and VDL Groep Verdi TN ended just ahead of Kutscher with five faults in total.

Sergio Alvarez Moya and G&C Arrayan collected four faults in the first round, and after some struggles the second time around they ended 10th.
