USA’s Laura Kraut will attend tonight’s Mercedez-Benz Nations Cup fresh and sharp after winning the 1.50m STAWAG Prize this afternoon on the only 9-year-old Confu. The American lady rider showed her Irish rivals Jonathan Gordon and Cian O’Connor a clean pair of heels.

In the 1.50m Table A against the clock, Laura Kraut and Confu (Contact Me x Cambridge) finished in 63.22 seconds. Ireland’s talented rider Jonathan Gordon became runner-up again in 64.37 seconds. In yesterday’s Prize of StädteRegion Aachen, Gordon and his 10-year-old Fellini (For Pleasure x Phin Phin) finished second behind McLain Ward and today, Jonathan Gordon finished just behind an American rider again aboard his chestnut gelding. His compatriot Cian O’Connor took the third spot riding Callisto (Quasimodo Z x Jokinal de Bornival), finishing in 65.07 seconds.

Germany’s Felix Hassmann was also placed again and ended up fourth, while Janne Friederike Meyer became fifth in the last competition before tonight’s Mercedes-Benz Nations Cup.
