The home riders dominated the CSI4* 1.55m Grand Prix du Conseil Departemental du Jura in Courlans, France. With seven of the thirteen riders in the jump-off representing the host nation, the chances of a home win were good as the second round against the clock got underway.
Fastest of all were Nicolas Deseuzes (FRA) and the 10-year-old stallion Eldorado Sunheup Z (Eldorado van de Zeshoek x Quartz du Chanu), who stopped the clock at 37.89 seconds to take the win. Harold Boisset (FRA) and his faithful mare T'Obetty du Domaine (Kashmir Van Schuttershof x Diams du Grasset) followed as runners-up in 38.01, while Reynald Angot (FRA) and Untouchable Gips HDC (Portofino 46*La Silla x Socrate de Chivre*HN) took the third place with a time of 38.89.
But it did not end with an all-French podium; also the fourth place went to a home rider – Ludovic Gaudin with Uline Platiere (Flipper D’Elle*Hn* x Papillon Rouge*Normandie), after the pair clocked a time of 39.17 seconds. José María Larocca Jr. (ARG) and Finn Lente (Gaillard de La Pomme x Colandro) finished fifth with a time of 39.62 seconds in the jump-off.
