The CSI5* Honorary Patronage The President of the Republic of Poland Grand Prix in Sopot went to Sweden's Douglas Lindelöw riding Casello (Casall x Carolus I). Again there were an avalanche of clear riders at the Polish event, with no less than nineteen of the 49 riders in the 1.60 class moving on to the jump-off after riding clear around the first round track.

With so many riders in it, the second round was bound to be a race from start to finish. Lindelöw was in a league of his own though, with one of seven clears this time around – but as the only of them to get the timers down under the 50-second mark as the clock showed 48.96 seconds.

Even the super-fast Laura Renwick from Great Britain had to see herself beaten today by the Swedish super talent, as her round in 51.71 seconds was "only" good enough for runner-up position aboard Bintang II (Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve x Orlando). Germany's Patrick Stühlmeyer continued his great form as well, ending third on Lacan (Lando x Contender) with a time of 52.06 seconds.

Czech rider Ales Opatrny ended fourth on Acovaro (Acodetto I x Calvaro), while another Swedish rider was fifth – Jonna Ekberg on Gladys (Wandor vd Mispelaere x Toulon).
