The qualities of Cornet Obolensky, Kannan and Diamant de Semilly gathered in one embryo

The best three showjumping sires according to the current WBFSH Sire Ranking are represented in this excellent embryo: Cornet Obolensky, Kannan and Diamant de Semilly. In addition to the combination of these three sires, the dam line of this embryo is also unique; granddam Urgada the Kreisker is none other than the full sister of former world number one Quickly de Kreisker.

This embryo of the Olympic stallion Cornet Obolensky was bred out of the 2-year-old Kannan-daughter Eljadida du Cedre, a daughter of Urgada de Kreisker. Urgada’s full brother Quickly de Kreisker is a Selle Français approved stallion who has been among world’s best over the last couple of years with Morocco’s Abdelkebir Ouaddar.  Briseis d'Helby, the dam of Quickly de Kreisker, produced no less than four Selle Français approved stallions and five international showjumpers. Quickly de Kreisker has been world number one for months in both 2014 and 2015. Ridden by Abdelkebir Ouaddar, the popular son of Diamant de Semilly won the five-star Grand Prix of Saut Hermès Paris in March this year. Over the last years, the now 12-year-old stallion won countless Grand Prix competitions and World Cup Qualifiers, such as Al Ain, Sharjah, Le Touqet, Tetouan and Vejer de la Frontera. At the World Equestrian Games in Caen 2014, Quickly de Kreisker finished thirteenth individually and and this year the focus of Quickly de Kreisker and his rider will be at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.

Cornet Obolensky, the sire of this embryo, is already one of the best showjumping sires of all time. At the last World Cup Final in Gothenburg no less than three horses sired by Cornet Obolensky were placed in the top four: Corbinian as winner, Cornet d'Amour  as third and fourth place for Cornado NRW. Other offspring like Cornet’s Cristallo, Comme Il Faut, Colestus and Crespo PKZ contribute to the third place of Cornet Obolensky on the WBFSH Sire Ranking. Dam’s sire Kannan stood for years at the top of the WBFSH Sire Ranking and due to offspring like Molly Malone V, Quorida de Treho, Quabri de l’Isle, Albführen’s Paille and reigning Olympic champion Nino des Buissonnets Kannan is still in second place. Great-grandsire Diamant de Semilly completes the story as world number one. Offspring like Emerald, Utamaro d’Ecaussines, Sunshine, Don VHP and of course Quickly de Kreisker take home victories at the highest level on a weekly basis.
