47th Holsteiner Licensing and Elite Riding Horse Auction
The success of many sport and breeding horses is based on Holsteiner genetics - And this almost in all jumping based studbooks. But the original is only found in the land between the seas. It’s going to happen next week: Customers from all over the world have the opportunity to secure this valuable genetics again. From 2 to 4 November the Holsteiner licensing and elite auction will take place.
The Holsteiner Licensing and Auction is an integral part of the hippological calendar. At the 47th edition of this event, you can get an overview of the quality of Holsteiner genetics. They expect 69 two and half-year-old stallions waiting for their announcement and 38 elite auction candidates are looking for a successful sports career with their new owners.
That already numerous success stories started in Neumünster has been widely known for a long time. Stallions as Casall, Carinjo, Carambole and Cabrio van de Heffinck were discovered in Neumünster and they have successfully completed their careers in sport and breeding afterwards. Recent examples of stallions are Quiwitino WZ, who won the Silver Medal at the World Championships of the young jumping horses in Lanaken under Felix Hassmann, or Wildwave, who attracted a lot of attention in cross-country under Michael Jung.
"This is the best collection I've ever seen in Holstein," Francesca Pollara told us after her visit to Elmshorn. She has already been able to place many elite auction horses to her customers. Nicola Wilson not only got her success horse Bulana through Francesca Pollara, but the European team champion also has four former auction horses she has high hopes for at her yard: five-year-old Chabadu by Cormint-Contender, who has already won four young horse classes, as well as three six-year-olds, a Diarado-Canto offspring called JR Dublin, All we need by Almoretto-Con Capitol, and For You by For Fashion-Arystokrat AA.
Also in jumping classes, the former auction candidates are increasingly in focus. Examples such as Cristallo under Richard Spooner, Chichester with Alonso Valdez Prado, Calmond under Richard Howley or Chanita with Katja Haep - here you will find your partner for your future.
Speaking of the future: Young jumping horses such as the reigning Holsteiner Jumping Horse State Champion Dacara E, who won a few days ago in the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour in the Spanish Oliva Nova, are always paying attention in the show jumping world. Over the Holsteiner auction the mare once changed into the stable of Cassandra Orschel.
