No. 8 by Catch x Casall
Prepare for the future by thinking ahead and securing tomorrow’s sport horse talents today. An interesting opportunity to do so will arise next week, at the German Jumping and Dressage Derby. On Thursday 10th of May, eight exceptional Holsteiner foals are put to auction there.
Three filly and five colt foals are scheduled to step into the ring at the foot of the VIP marquee. And all of them have one thing in common: They are very special foals which have made it into this exquisite lot due to their breeding, type, and movement. A given for the Holsteiner Verband Marketing and Auction GmbH, all foals have been vet checked.
No. 4 by Del'Arko d'Henvet x Clearway
Four of these foals are by Casall, sporting hero and icon of the breed. Take lot no.1, for example: Carrying Casall, Corrado I, For Pleasure and Ramiro, this filly foal’s bloodline leaves nothing to be desired. Her full sister distinguished herself at the Holsteiner foal championship last year.
Lot no.3 comes from a successful mare family, as well. This colt not only combines the interesting sires Casall and Loran, but the produce of his 2nd dam, a mare by Contender, also includes Olympic horse Rosalia la Silla (by Cassini I).
Lot no. 5 has promise as a stallion candidate. He carries Casall, Cornet Obolensky and Quantum and is one of the highlights of the auction due to the fact that his 2nd dam is also dam to Con Air, the licensed stallion successfully shown at national and international level by Otto Becker.
The direct dam line of lot no 7 is the same as Cöster’s, ridden successfully by Christian Ahlmann. The colt by Casall-Contender-Sir Shostakovich xx comes from Holsteiner line 162, one of the most successful jumping horse families.
No. 7 by Casall x Contender
Other than Casall offspring, four more foals have made it into the catalogue, colts and fillies by Clearway, Catch, Del Arko and Million Dollar.
The Clearway foal is out of a Casall dam from a very successful dam line which has also produced several licensed stallions and international show jumpers. Moreover, the dam is a full sister to Chakra, a mare currently successfully shown by Ludger Beerbaum.
Lot 4 is a colt by Del Arko. The Holsteiner Verband Hengsthaltungs GmbH has high expectations for this young sire who passed the sport test as best jumping stallion in Germany at a score of 9.4. For the Holsteiner studbook, the French blood is a sound option, which has provided important stimuli in the past.
Striking as to type and markings is lot no 6. A colt by Million Dollar and Quite Capitol from the direct dam line of international top jumper Eurocommerce Montreal. The sire, Million Dollar has been keeping a rather high profile recently. You may have a closer look at him, Del Arko and Catch at the Derby, where all three stallion will be presented prior the auction.
The final lot is a filly by two-time winner of the stallion sport test, Catch by Colman. Carrying Casall, Candillo and Romino, she is not only interesting for a future sport horse but also for a top-quality broodmare. This typey filly comes from a formidable dam line, with her dam shown in young horse jumping classes through M level and her 2nd, 3rd, and 4th dam producing international jumpers through S level.
