It is the 2nd year that we successfully celebrate one of the most innovative and out of the box events in the showjumping business.

The Ten Auction is part of an ongoing change of the showjumping sport where the new and young generation are eager to bring new spirit and new challenges to the sport, reunited in an exclusive auction.

As such The Ten is far from being a regular auction, it is a celebration of quality and perfection.

The Ten is trying to push the boundaries of quality and bring back the glamour of European equestrian, and confirms that Belgium is on the world map.

Each year The Ten Committee is working as long as a year to detect/locate, examine and train the best ten young horses of that year. And this year was no disappointment.

Fruit of a rare collaboration between leading professionals from showjumping industry, The Ten is a unique one-evening event, a celebration of quality and perfection, that takes horse auctioning to a whole new level, combined with the nest cuisine and high-end entertainment.

The Ten Horses

The Ten’s final list consisted of ten exclusive, talented young show jumpers aged between four and seven years. Each of them will have undergone a uniquely rigorous selection process devised and managed by our international committee

For its part, the 7-year-old mare La Belle Van Hagen (Vagabond de la Pomme x Remond) left for the tidy sum of 280 000€, the price almost reached by Lancelot du Faurieu Z (Lordanos x Cassini II) finally awarded for the price of 255 000€.

The top price of the auction was reached by Brooklyn, an incredible 6-year-old stallion (Coltaire Z x Le Tot de Sémilly), sold for 550 000€. It was a fierce fight between the three bidders who were eager to acquire the one described as the best horse of the sale.

The Ten Charity

For the second edition The Ten auction was launched by the donation of a unique collector’s show jacket from the legend of the equestrian world Ludger Beerbaum. All funds raised by the charity auction were directly donated to the association Pegasus Therapeutic Riding.

The Ten Entertainment

Entertained by a live band music, guests, partners, sponsors and clients had also enjoyed the appearance of the HORSEMEN, French comics with a perfect acting.
