Lucas Porter’s 9-year-old mare Cassina 64 (Collado x Lacantus), owned by Sleepy P Ranch, has been sold. The pair had recent successes in Zwolle and Opglabbeek, and won the CSI4* Masters competition in Münster back in August.

Cassina 64 was purchased as a 6-year-old from Dietmar Gugler, and Porter developed her from the 1.20m classes to ranking class level. “Cassina has such a nice character and willingness about her. I’ve really enjoyed bringing her along. We wish her new owner and rider the very best of luck,” Lucas Porter says.

Under the guidance of Jeroen Dubbeldam, the Porter-brothers established their business at the neighboring farm to Stal de Sjiem in Weerselo this year. “My brother and I will compete in top sport and also develop quality horses for resale. We also provide a farm base for riders competing in Europe,” Lucas Porter tells.

The Porters have already invested in some young horses with Jeroen and other sponsors. “Quality 6-year-olds are ideal for us. We can base them in Weerselo until it makes sense for them to compete in Florida. And we learn with them along the way,” Porter closes off.
