In the last week leading up to the Longines FEI World Cup Final, WoSJ catch up with some of the world’s best riders as they head for Gothenburg. First out is reigning World Cup Champion Beezie Madden (USA). 

Which horse will you be riding in the final?

“I am bringing Breitling to Gothenburg.”

Who do you think will win? 

“Of course, I hope for another American win this year. However, the European contingent is very strong this year. If I had to pick someone to win, I would go with Steve Guerdat, Christian Ahlmann or Martin Fuchs.”

How special is it to compete in the Longines FEI World Cup Final?

“It is very special to be heading to the Longines World Cup Final. For many years it has been one of the major championships that every rider wants to win. I am very excited to be heading back to the historic Gothenburg venue where many of the World Cup Finals have been held. I look forward to competing in front of the enthusiastic spectators and trying to go for another coveted Longines World Cup Final title.”
