Shane Breen (IRL) and Ipswich van de Wolfsakker (Carembar de Muze x Quick Star) won Sunday's CSI4* 1.55m Grand Prix at Le Lame International in Montefalco, Italy.
Only five horse-and-rider combinations out of the 50 that had qualified for the Grand Prix delivered clear rounds to move on to the jump-off, while three riders were kept away by a single time penalty. By far the fastest in the jump-off, were Breen and the 13-year-old gelding that stopped the clock on 31.93 seconds. José Maria Larocca (ARG), who won Saturday's 1.50m class, ended second with Finn Lente (Gaillard de la Pomme x Colandro) after crossing the finish line in 33.66 seconds. Third place went to Roberto Turchetto (ITA) and Baron (Colman x Numero Uno), with a time of 34.42 seconds followed by Antonio Alfonso (ITA) who had the last double clear of the class aboard Charmie (Connor 48 x Candillo 3). Harry Allen (IRL) and Guinness (Nabab de Reve x Katell) ended fifth, with four faults in the jump-off.
