Ireland's Darragh Kenny and the 12-year-old gelding Vinci de Beaufour (Diamant de Semilly x Heartbreaker) won Saturday's CSI5* 1.50m at Hubside Jumping in Grimaud, France. With a time of 34.59 seconds in the jump-off, Kenny beat USA's Jessica Springsteen and RMF Tinkerbell (Incolor x Argentinus) – the winners of last week's CSI4* Grand Prix at the same event – by 0.27 seconds. Italian rider Giulia Martinengo Marquet and Calle Deluxe (Cesano 2 x Con Air 7) completed the podium. Belgium's Gudrun Patteet finished fourth with Sea Coast Kashmira Z (Kashmir Van Schuttershof x Libero H) while best of the home riders was Roger Yves Bost in fifth with Cassius Clay VDV Z (Calvino Z x Wolfgang).
In the CSI5* 1.45m it was yet again French rider Julien Epaillard and Solero MS (Silvio I x Espri) that went to the top, leaving Kenny behind in second – this time with Scarlett du Sart Z (Stakkato x First Bride). Third place went to Argentina's José María Larocca Jr. and Diablo Blanco (Chacco-Blue x Cento).
