Hilltop Bio, Inc., a veterinary biotechnology company based out of Mansfield, MA is creating cutting edge regenerative therapies that are changing the landscape of treatment options for veterinarians and horse owners. Hilltop Bio’s star products include Regenaflex-RT for soft tissue injuries and Strydaflex for intra-articular joint injections. Regenaflex-RT contains a mixture of anti-inflammatory and growth factors that help support the reconstruction of tissue fibers with minimal scarring. Veterinarians have been pleased with how ultrasound scans look around the 45 day mark. Dr. Beau Whitaker of Brazos Valley Equine conducted a study with Louisiana State University which examined horses with suspensory injuries and were subsequently treated with Regenaflex-RT and shockwave. 80% of the horses treated were sound after 3 months. Dr. Whitaker hosted a webinar for horse owners with Horse Network in January to discuss the results of the study.
