Pedigree
Super Trouper has inherited his stunning looks and perfect temperament from the interesting gene mix in his pedigree. Catoki x Caretino x Capitol I contribute pure performance horse blood. Catoki and his rider Phillip Weishaupt were a leading international show jumping duo with World Cup, Nations Cup and Grand Prix wins. Many of Catoki’s offspring have inherited his jumping genes. They include Cool Down (Ludger Beerbaum), AD Contanga (Athina Onassis) and S.I.E.C. Carriere (Petronella Anderrsson). His sire Cambridge was also top competition horse. He and another leading sire, Cantus, are the two most famous offspring of the unforgettable Caletto I.
The dam, Bilda, produced Susanne Behring’s international competition horse L.B. Calvano, And the dam’s sire Caretino, a successful show jumper in his own right, went on to become an equally successful sire. He won and was placed in diverse Grand Prix classes with Bo Kristoffersen and Ludger Beerbaum. The most famous of his competition horse progeny are Casall ASK (Rolf-Göran Bengtsson), Caretello B (Tobias Bachl), Caretano Z (Jos Lansink), Cachas (Janne-Friederike Meyer) and Carento (Ludger Beerbaum). In the third generation of the pedigree Capitol I contributes some of Super Trouper’s exceptional traits. He was a talented jumping stallion who sired a whole Armada of high flying offspring such as Carthago Z, Campione M, Dobel’s Cento, VDL Cardento, Casita and Verelst Goliath.
The sky’s the limit with Super Trouper. He’s a future Grand Prix horse for sure and, who knows, maybe he’ll even be the number one.
