From the 1st of January 2016, some changes to the FEI Equine Prohibited Substances List will come into force. One of the substances that is added to the Controlled Medication List is harpagoside, also known as Devil's Claw. This substance is frequently used in equine supplements, and for competitors it is important to check if their supplements contain Devil's Claw.

Other changes are the additions of Ammonium Sulphate and Ammonium Sulphide to the list of Banned Substances, and Codeine being re-listed from Banned Substance to Controlled Medication.
