Germany’s Philipp Weishaupt and the 9-year-old mare Lady Concern du Rezidal (Emerald x Quidam de Revel) took a win on home soil in Sunday’s CSI4* 1.60m Grand Prix of Hohen Wieschendorf, presented by Deutschen Kreditbank AG.
Stopping the clock on 43.16 in the jump-off of five, the German duo took the win ahead of Ales Opatrny (CZE) and Vivo de Muze PS (Vivant x Loro Piana Filou de Muze) in second in 43.33. Only the best two horse-and-rider combinations delivered a double clear, with Sweden’s Douglas Lindelöw on Asterix de Couleur (Aganix du Seigneur x Hickstead) completing the top three with four penalties in a time of 47.10 seconds.
Picking up eight penalties each in the jump-off, Stefan Engbers (GER) on Baju NRW (Balou du Rouet x Calido I) and Christin Wascher (GER) aboard Quincy 200 (Quintero x Cellestial) finished fourth and fifth respectively.
On Saturday, Christian Kukuk (GER) and Viki van Gogh (Van Gogh x Now or Never M) topped the CSI4* 1.55m Championat of BSC Energie GmbH. Laura Klaphake (GER) and VDL Quizano van’T Merelsnest (Diamant de Semilly x Kannan) took the runner-up spot, followed by Peter Szuhai (HUN) and Corbluecenta (Balou du Reventon x Chacco-Blue) in third, Johan-Sebastian Gulliksen (NOR) on Colonello (Colestus x Cassini) in fourth and Christian Hess (GER) riding Zafir 13 (Zinedine x FRH Quaid) in fifth.
Friday’s biggest win in Hohen Wieschendorf went to Hannes Ahlmann (GER) and Madness (Kannan x Emerald), who topped the CSI4* 1.50m presented by Enno Glantz Förder-Stiftung. Steve Guerdat (SUI) and Lancelotta (Falkenhof’s Lancer x Orlando) placed second, while Karin Martensen (SWE) with Tailormade Conita Blue PS (Conthargos x Chacco-Blue) completed the top three.
