About World of Showjumping

Our story

Worldofshowjumping.com began as a sketch on a piece of paper in the summer of 2010, created out of three girls’ passion for the sport. Thirteen years later, the website is one of the most popular in the international showjumping community – with a broad range of readers, from top level riders to amateurs and hobby riders. One thing has not changed though: The website is still owned and run by the same three girls, making it an independent and small news outlet.

We like to believe that in the crowd of equestrian websites, Worldofshowjumping.com stands out because of the exclusive content produced solely for our audience. All our content can also be accessed free of charge, many thanks to all those that choose to advertise with Worldofshowjumping.com – keeping it open for all to read, without paywalls.

Behind the website, and the company, are three Scandinavians; Jenny Abrahamsson, Jannicke Naustdal and Hanne Christensen. In 2017 we expanded our team, with Nanna Nieminen joining us for writing and photography. We also have several other experienced photographers and reporters that contribute with exclusive content for Worldofshowjumping.com.

Over the years, we have gained extensive experience covering some of the biggest events in the sport: The European Championships at Windsor in 2009, the European Championships in Madrid in 2011, the European Championships in Herning in 2013, the European Championships in Aachen in 2015, the European Championships in Gothenburg in 2017, the European Championships in Rotterdam in 2019, the European Championships in Riesenbeck in 2021, the World Equestrian Games in Kentucky in 2010, the World Equestrian Games in Caen in 2014, the World Equestrian Games in Tryon in 2018, the World Championship in Herning in 2022, the Olympic Games in London in 2012, the Olympic Games in Rio in 2016 and the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2021. Then there are of course the World Cup Finals in Leipzig in 2011 and 2022, Den Bosch in 2012, Gothenburg in 2013, 2016 and 2019, Lyon in 2014, Paris in 2018, and Omaha in 2023, to look back at, as well as all the Nations Cups, World Cup qualifiers and other wonderful events that we have been lucky enough to cover during our years with World of Showjumping.
