Saturday’s highlight at the H.H. The Amir’s Sword 2026 in Doha, Qatar, was the CSI5* 1.60m €1.5 million Grand Prix.
After two rounds and a jump-off, Abdullah Alsharbatly (KSA) and the 13-year-old Diriyah (Baloubet du Rouet x Diamant de Semilly) took the top honours when crossing the finish line in 36.29 as the fastest pair in the jump-off between nine horse-and-rider combinations. Khaled Almobty (KSA) and Diana du Plevau Z (Dieu Merci van T&L x Kashmir van’t Schutterhof) took the runner-up spot with a time of 37.45, while Pieter Devos (BEL) and Casual DV Z (Cornet Obolensky x Cicero Z) completed the podium in third in 39.20.
Christian Ahlmann (GER) and Untouched LB (United Touch S x Cornet Obolensky) placed fourth with a time of 39.24 in the jump-off, while Anastasia Nielsen (MON) aboard ESI Rocky (Stakkato Gold x For Pleasure) finished fifth in 42.59.
