Spain’s very own Armando Trapote and the 13-year-old mare Nasa de Toxandria (Vertigo Saint-Benoit x Chopin van het Moleneind) won Friday’s CSI4* 1.50m Catunambú Trophy at the 2026-edition of Andalucía Sunshine Tour in Vejer de la Frontera (ESP).
With a time of 61.59 seconds, Trapote took the win ahead of Sanne Thijssen (NED) on Farah Z (For Pleasure x Nissan Caretano Z) and Guy Williams (GBR) aboard BH Gringos Legacy (Tullibards Bennys Legacy x Colourfield), who shared the second place when both pairs stopped the clock on 61.95. Tom Schewe (GER) on Deesse des Embruns (Mylord Carthago x Orame) and Holly Smith (GBR) aboard Nike van het Singraven (Andiamo Semilly x Haarlem) tied for fourth in 62.15.
The second ranking class of the day, the CSI4* 1.45m Kask Trophy, went to Sweden’s Adam Carey and Julius (Mylord Carthago x Mermus R), followed by Michael Pender (IRL) on Starfield Brighteye (Luidam x Vivaldo van het Costersveld) in second and Pello Elorduy Ibarzabal (ESP) aboard Champenoise de Rampan (Voltigeur de Rampan x Quintal) in third.
