Press release from Major League Show Jumping
Mexico's own Arturo Parada capped an incredible week at Club Hípico Otomí in San Miguel de Allende with a victory in the Pasión por el Deporte CSI2* Grand Prix. From a 10-horse jump-off, Parada and Quidamo 10, an 11-year-old Holsteiner gelding (Quidam de Revel x Lasino), claimed the win by nearly two full seconds.
A recent acquisition of the Desert International Horse Park Roadrunners, Parada is looking forward to MLSJ stops in Monterrey and California after debuting with a splash in San Miguel.
Bruno Passaro (ARG) piloted Abril Hope Girl to second place, while Brazil's Rodrigo Lambre rounded out the top three aboard Chalawino PS. All three athletes were joined on the podium with their children as everyone celebrated the perfect conclusion to a spectacular week of MLSJ action.
A word from the winner
"I am very happy with the result today - I loved this class. I was second yesterday, and going into today I was focused on the first round and then the tiebreaker if it came to it. I'm very grateful to the Roadrunners team for taking me on. I will be at both Monterrey and California, and I'm hopeful that we can win one of those stages.” ~ Arturo Parada (MEX)
Major League Show Jumping continues a tour through Mexico with two weeks in Monterrey beginning November 3.
