After taking the top honours in Thursday's CSI4* 1.50m Big Tour class, Derin Demirsoy (TUR) yet again turned out to be unbeatable at the Andalucía Sunshine Tour 2024 when speeding to the win in Friday's CSI4* 1.50m WKD Big Tour – a class counting for the Longines Ranking Group D.

With 91 horse-and-rider combinations entered in this Table A class against the clock – also a qualifier for Sunday's Big Tour Grand Prix – it was no question that it would turn into a real race, and yet again Demirsoy was the quickest in the David Broome arena. This time riding the 10-year-old O-Kannarock (Rock'n Roll Semilly x Kannan), the Turkish rider stopped the clock at 63.85 seconds – a time none of the other riders could match. 

Closest came Sameh El Dahan (GBR) and WKD Aimez Moi (Je T'aime Flamenco x breeding unknown), with a time of 63.91 seconds. The third place went to the hosts' own Armando Trapote (ESP) riding Tornado VS (Toulon x Contender) to a time of 66.28, followed by João Victor Castro Aguiar Gomes De Lima (BRA) on Charon van Moeshof (Diamant de Semilly x Fergar Mail) in fourth and then Petronella Andersson (SWE) on Castres van de Begijnakker Z (Coriano x Palestro van de Begijnakker Z) in fifth.

In the CSI4* 1.45m Medium Tour – a class counting for the Longines Ranking Group D – Niamh McEvoy (IRL) and Templepatrick Welcome Limmerick (Limmerick x Lux Z) went to the top after a lightning fast second phase in 27.25 seconds. Closest of the other 95 competitors in the class came Gilles Thomas (BEL) and Toulini Olympic (Toulouse x San Patrignano Cassini) after crossing the finish line in 28.93 seconds, to take the runner-up spot. Penelope Leprevost (FRA) and Fantasy de La Roque (For Hero*de Hus x Heartbreaker) finished third with a time of 29.12 seconds.
