Ben Schröder (NED) secured a home win in Sunday's CSI3* GMB Grand Prix of Indoor Drachten. Riding the 10-year-old gelding Davino Q (Vingino x Monaco), Schröder was the best in the field of 57 riders in this 1.55 Grand Prix.

It was a tricky course that waited for the riders, with the horses having to lengthen and shorten around the twisting track where the big fences came quickly out of the corners. It took a while for the first clear to come, and when it did it was in style - delivered by home hero Michel Hendrix (NED) on Baileys (Indoctro x Come On). In the end, Hendrix got company by seven more riders in the jump-off.

Only two of the horse-and-rider combinations managed to repeat their clears from the first round in the jump-off, and it was Schröder that was the fastest with his time of 41.01 seconds. Piet Raijmakers Jr. took the second place on the 10-year-old gelding Van Schijndel´s Dominus (Berlin x Odermus) with his time of 41.39, making it double Dutch on top.

Fastest in the jump-off was Christophe Vanderhasselt on the wonderful 10-year-old mare Identity Vitseroel (Air Jordan Z x Darco), but with four faults they had to settle for the third place. Michel Hendrix finished fourth, also he on a score of four in the jump-off, just like Sjaak Sleiderink (NED) on Ivan R (Apple Juice x Sam R) who ended fifth.
