Ireland's Bertram Allen won Sunday's CSI4* 1.55m Longines Trophy Grand Prix of Maastricht.
Riding the 12-year-old gelding Gin Chin van het Lindenhof, Allen was one of seven competitors making it through to the jump-off out of the fourty in the class. Against the clock, only three riders managed to keep on a clean sheet yet again and fastest of them was Allen with his time of 38.99 seconds. In 39.38 followed home rider Gerco Schröder on the 15-year-old Glock's Cognac Champblanc (Clearway x Caretino 2), while third place went to his compatriot Kim Emmen on Delvaux (Chacco Blue x Lancer II) that stopped the clock at 40.61 seconds.
Quickest in the jump-off was Ireland's Darragh Kenny and Balou du Reventon (Cornet Obolensky x Continue), but with four faults the pair had to settle for fourth place this time around. Fifth went to Dutch rider Frank Schuttert and Claus Dieter (Clarimo x Cantus), making it three home riders within the top five.
