Ireland's Bertram Allen and Molly Malone V (Kannan x Cavalier) were unbeatable in Friday's Gaston GLOCK's Championat in Treffen. 22 riders made it to the second round in this 1.50 competition, and 15 of them went clear yet again but no one could better Allen and his fantastic 12-year-old mare.
Italy's Piergiorgio Bucci and Casallo Z (Casall x Carthago Z) were a second slower than Allen, and took care of the runner-up position ahead of French rider Kevin Staut with Elky van het Indiehof HDC (Toulon x Thunder van de Zuuthoeve). Great Britain's Laura Renwich took fourth riding Bintang II (Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve x Orlando) ahead of Dutch rider Gert Jan Bruggink with Vampire (Marome NW x Voltaire) and Spain's Sergio Alvarez Moya with G and C Quitador Rochelais (Jarnac x Unau du Fonteny).
"Everything just fitted today. My horse is in top shape and the conditions here are outstanding. I will ride Molly in GLOCK's Grand Prix on Sunday and hope to be on top there as well," Bertram said after his win.
Earlier in the day the, Sergio Alvarez Moya won the youngster tour riding Unicstar de l'Aumone (Ninio de Rox). Second place went to Marcus Ehning with Calanda (Calido x Chasseur I), third to Daniel Deusser with Ivoor van't Paradijs (Quadrillo x Indoctro), fourth to Gerco Schröder with Glock's Debalia (Numero Uno x Lupicor) and fifth to Paul Estermann with Curtis Sitte (Ugano Sitte x Chellano Z).
