Charlotte Bettendorf (LUX) won Sunday’s 1,50m class, sponsored by Horseware Ireland, at CSI4* Theraplate UK Liverpool International Horse Show. Riding Hope Street (Casall x Quick Nick I), Bettendorf was the fastest of the five riders that went double clear when she crossed the finish line in 31,37 seconds.
Holly Smith (GBR) took the runner-up position with Claddagh Iroko (Iroko x Cruising) in 31,77 seconds and was followed by Billy Twomey (IRL) with Chat Botte E.D (Casall x Darco) in third, Louise Saywell (GBR) with Charina (Chacco-Blue x Baloubet du Rouet) in fourth and Harry Charles (GBR) with Sieco (Cachas x Lorentin I) in fifth.
Harry Charles had a great Sunday in Liverpool, and was the winner of Sunday’s 1,45m class presented by Hope Valey Saddlery. Riding the 10-year-old Doulita (Wittinger VDL x French Buffet) he stopped the clock at 57,28 seconds in this Table A class. Graham Babes (GBR) took the second place with Boucheron (Valentino x Burggraaf) and Derin Demirsoy (TUR) ended third riding Dadjak Ter Puttenen (Toulon x Vanitas). Great Britain and Ireland followed in fourth and fifth with Julie Andrew on Wilando B (Oklund x Topas) and Shane Breen on Yacuma BK (Calvaro Z x Lacros).
On Saturday, it was another home win when Harriet Nuttall took the top honors in the 1,50m class presented by Voltaire Design, riding Galway Bay Jed (Romanov x Lux). She was followed by Germany, Sweden, USA: Tobias Meyer with Queentina (Coupe de Coeur 2 x Quidam’s Rubin), Angelie von Essen with Cochella (Cartani 4 x Lord), Andrew Kocher with Country Boy (Carry Best x Quirinus) and Felicie Bertrand with Urano de Cartigny (Diamant de Semilly x Double Espoir).
Saturday’s 1,45m class presented by Pullman Hotel was won by Sameh El Dahan (EGY) with Miss G Tracy (Douglas x Derrylin xx). Once again it was Tobias Meyer (GER) in second place, this time riding Coeur de Lion 22 (Carenzo x Sao Paulo). Harry Charles (GBR) followed in third with Doulita and Shane Breen was fourth with Yacuma BK (Calvaro Z x Lacros). Fifth place went to Nigel Coupe (GBR) with Jubilee III (Wolkentanz II x Wanduss).
