Jake Saywell (GBR) took a deserved victory in the week’s biggest class at the Sunshine Tour, the CSI3* Grand Prix worth 40,000 Euros.

Thirteen horse-and-rider combinations moved through to the jump-off after a demanding first round. Saywell set the winning time on Havinia van de Roshoeve (Cicero Z van Paemel x Lacantus) in 41.10 seconds, while his compatriot Guy Williams took the second place on Rouge de Ravel (Ultimo van ter Moude x Quouglof Rouge) following close behind in 41.75. Peter Charles on ABC Quantum Cruise (OBOS Quality x Cruising) made it triple British on the podium with his time of 41.78 seconds.

Jerome Guery (BEL) and Jupiter VG (Pomme de Haup x Heartbreaker) finished fourth, and Michael G Duffy (IRL) and Lapuccino 2 (SIEC Livello x breeding unknown) ended fifth.
